ABOUT GREENE

The Town of Greene is centrally located in Androscoggin County bordering Lewiston, Turner, Leeds, Wales & Sabattus. Incorporated on June 18, 1788 from Lewiston Plantation. With its 36 square miles, we are a caring community with many things to offer. Population is 4350 (according to the 2010 U.S. census) and growing strong. U.S. Route 202 runs through the center of Town. Greene has 61 miles of quality roads and is located only 6 miles from the Maine Turnpike (Interstate 95) and has 6 miles of railroad service from the Guilford Railroad.
