Some of the services provided at the Town Office include:

Dog Licensing

• $6 for altered dogs (spayed/neutered)
• $11 for unaltered dogs

You may license your dog online here for additional fees.
Visit GAHumane.org for help with vet bills, stray cats, or lost/found animals.

Free for Greene residents
$10 for non-Greene residents

BMV Registrations

• Titles
• Registration & re-registration
• License plates
• Active Duty Excise Exemption Form
  Visit the Maine Legislature's site for details on the Active Duty Excise exemption.

The Town Office does not process NEW vehicle registrations or NEW IF&W licenses/registrations on Mondays after 6:45pm, or Tuesdays through Fridays after 3:45pm. This is due to the length of time they take to process.

Re-registrations, existing IF&W licenses/registrations, tax payments, and transfer station stickers are still processed until closing time.

Vital Records
$15 for the first copy, $6 for each additional copy

$40 per application

Please allow at least an hour to complete your license application at the Town Office.

Payment of Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes
Payments may be made in-person or mailed to the office. We do not accept payments via phone or wire transfers.
